At Child Psychological Services & Wellness (CPSW), we specialize in providing comprehensive care to children, teens, and their families. Our multi-disciplinary team includes psychologists, occupational therapists, speech-language therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic, individualized care. Our collaborative approach addresses various developmental, emotional, and behavioural needs.

Requirements
Registered Psychologist (in good standing with College of Alberta Psychologists)
ORRegistered Clinical Social Worker (in good standing with Alberta College of Social Workers)
ORRegistered Provisional Psychologist (must have external primary supervision; Melissa Soares provides secondary supervision)
Holds current professional liability insurance for Alberta
Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Persons Sector Clearance
Minimum 3 years of experience providing counselling/therapy to children and teens
Skilled in providing parent consultation/parent coaching
Training in CBT, DBT, EMDR, & play-based therapy
Preferred Qualifications
Registration as a play therapist (RPT)
Experience providing individual therapy to adults
Training in family therapy
Availability
Minimum 12 hours/week (2+ days).
Our clinic has a high client demand for individual therapy—ideal for a candidate seeking to gain full-time hours (4-5 days/week; 30–40hrs/week) within ~2 months
Preferred availability: Fridays, Saturdays, and/or Sundays.
Additional openings:
Mondays & Wednesdays: Morning, afternoon, or evening.
Tuesdays & Thursdays: Morning or early afternoon.

2 play therapy rooms
3 individual/family therapy rooms
Group therapy room

Kitchenette with full-size fridge, microwave, and small appliances
Accessible in-office bathroom
Extensive therapy resources – Therapeutic tools, play therapy toys, and more to support your work.
Supervision
Supervision for provisional psychologists, newly registered psychologists, or MSWs provided by Melissa Soares MSc., R. Psych, the clinic’s owner and lead psychologist.
