Social Skills Groups

The purpose of this program is to help participants have an understanding of social thinking skills, appropriate conversational skills, and friendship skills, to promote successful social outcomes.

Each 12 week program consists of lessons, modelling, engaging activities and meaningful interactions in a small groups learning environment (10 participants per group). There is a mandatory 2 hour parent session prior to the commencement of each level of the program.

Please note that the completion of Level 2 Conversational Skills is a prerequisite to attending Level 3 Friendship Skills.

Our social skills groups are approved by FSCD. Families who currently have an FSCD contract may ask their FSCD caseworker if they can access funding to attend one of the programs. If approved, FSCD would cover $930.68 per 12 week program and the parent portion would be $169.32.
